Hack Time Program

Fox Run is excited to offer additional ways for our lesson students to gain extra saddle time. With our new supervised hack program, you can come and ride your favorite Fox Run lesson horse or pony and practice on any homework you might have from your last lesson. Offered on Mondays and Fridays between 3:30 and 5:00PM, for just $20 you can ride under supervision for 45 minutes and gain that extra saddle time everyone needs to fine tune their riding skills. If you want to ride more than one horse or pony, there is an additional $20 per mount.

Riders who want to participate in our supervised hack program must be able to groom and tack up their own horse and must be able to post the trot without assistance. Signing up in advance is recommended as each horse or pony will be first come first serve. Reserve your time on your favorite Fox Run four legged friend today!

This program is perfect for our riders who do not own their own horse and are eager for some more riding time. We are so excited about new developments such as these that will make Fox Run a effective place for our lesson students to learn and gorw in their riding skills.

Thanks as always,

Tricia and Cassie

Goodbye Baby Blue and Trixie

We at Fox Run want to send our best wishes to the new owners of Baby Blue and Trixie as they move forward together. We were so very blessed to have both of these ponies in our barn and are grateful for everything that we were able to learn from them. Baby Blue took our little barn to great new heights by placing Reserve Champion overall in the Large Greens at Pony Finals in 2016, as well as placing 1st over fences while at Pony Finals. Trixie was a fun, green project that many of our riders got to enjoy putting her first official miles on her. Both of these fabulous ponies will no doubt succeed in their new homes.

Many Exciting Advances at the Barn!

There have been many exciting developments amongst our Fox Run Family, please read below for more details!

  • We want to welcome all of our new owners and ponies to our Fox Run Family!
    • Welcome Meagan DeLisle and Joey, Kathy Fitzpatrick and Oliver, Jordyn Richmond who partially leases Apollo, and Paige Towery and Gatsby!
    • We also want to welcome our new Four Legged Friends to the barn: Barbie, Gatsby, Trooper, Valentino, and Dash!
    • We want to extend a warm welcome to our special new addition Phillip! Philip is a yearling Arabian who is owned by Caroline Austin. We also want to share our condolences to Caroline, as we were so sorry to lose our longtime resident and friend, Kahil, earlier this year.
    • Welcome and best wishes to all of our Fox Run Family and Friends! Come on out and meet our crew, we would love to meet you.
  • BIG NEWS! Baby Blue, raised on the farm as a weanling, by leading pony sire Blue Rain, won the Queenie Production Winter Series and was named the #1 pony overall this past March. Baby Blue then went on to be the #1 Large Green Pony Over Fences at the 2016 Pony Finals in Lexington, Kentucky and Reserve Champion Overall with a very close score, of the Large Green Division at Pony Finals. We are so very proud of our Baby Blue and of everyone who has put in the time and effort to make him the truly wonderful pony he is today. We could not have achieved this wonderful accomplishment without the help of many!

  • Luis Perez joined the Fox Run Family in 2015 full time as the Facility Assistant Manager and has been a wonderful addition to our staff. We are extremely grateful for all that he does for us to keep our facility beautiful and our horses and ponies happy and healthy. Luis is currently attending Southeast Missouri State University to get his degree in International Business and we know he will go on to do tremendous things in his life. Since joining the Fox Run family, Luis has not only brought a little humor to the barn, but he has helped most of us here at the barn slowly, but surely grow our Spanish skills- one word at a time! Thank you Luis for all of your hard work!
  • Cassie and I are so appreciative of this opportunity to maintain the beautiful art of English riding and to work with each and every one of our students and friends. We have made so many wonderful friendships thanks to the barn, and we can't thank our riders enough for the chance to get to watch our riders, whether young in spirit or young at heart, grow a little bit more as the days go by.  Be sure to scroll through our photos tab to your left to see all the adventures going on at Fox Run and we encourage you to come on out and visit us sometime. Our barn doors are always open!

In Memorium: Buttercup, The Lesson Horse of a Lifetime

Our Fox Run Family is saddened to share the passing of beloved lesson horse, Buttercup at 39 years old. Buttercup has taught many riders, young and old, the ropes when it came to riding. She was never a famous racehorse, jumper, or barrel racer, but she taught countless students at Fox Run how to excel at a wide array of disciplines. We loved her very much and not a day will go by that we will not miss her.
